What KinNest is, what it does, and what it deliberately does not do — written so it can be quoted without checking back with us. If you need something that is not here, write to hello@kinnest.in and a person will answer.
In one paragraph
KinNest is a digital legacy management app for your records, documents and personal wishes. Organise details of your accounts and assets, and manage how your record is shared with the people you trust. It works alongside a will; it does not create wills, decide inheritance or provide legal advice.
You are welcome to quote that as it stands.
The problem it addresses
In most homes one person knows where everything is kept, and everyone else knows roughly. When that person is suddenly not there, "roughly" becomes months of paperwork at the worst possible time — and sometimes it becomes nothing at all, because nobody knew the policy existed to claim it.
Two things make this worse in India specifically. Assets are spread across institutions that do not talk to each other, so there is no single place a family can ask. And a nominee registered with the bank or the insurer turns a claim that takes months into one that takes weeks — but most people have either not registered one or cannot remember who they named. KinNest keeps the record and prompts the owner to fix the nominee gap while they still can.
How it works
Owners add records, documents and personal wishes, and name the people they trust. They can choose to share their record themselves.
KinNest asks owners to check in. If an owner stops responding, reminders and contact with their named people follow the configured schedule. A report that the owner is unavailable begins a response period; silence alone does not open the record.
Product scope
Digital legacy management. Keep records, documents and personal wishes organised, and manage how they are shared.
Account credentials. KinNest does not ask for access to your financial accounts or login credentials. We recommend keeping passwords, PINs and other access credentials separately, and recording where to find them in KinNest.
Alongside a will. KinNest does not create wills, transfer asset ownership or provide legal advice.
No account aggregation. KinNest does not connect to banks or pull in transactions.
The facts

The name and the mark
The product is KinNest — one word, capital K, capital N, no space and no hyphen. It is kin plus nest. The company is Built4U Apps Private Limited.
The mark is a nest holding three eggs, in gold on evergreen. Please use it as supplied rather than recolouring or redrawing it.
If you are writing about the category
The thing most often got wrong is the trigger. KinNest does not react to a missed tap, a single unanswered message, or a report from a stranger. Reaching a family takes months of silence, repeated attempts to contact the owner on every channel we have, a person who knows them saying they are unavailable, and a final window in which the owner can stop it with one tap. If a description makes it sound quicker or more automatic than that, it will frighten people about a product that was built specifically not to do that.
